Hawaiian Honeymoon | Maui | Day 7

Today we had a free day in Maui so we spent it at Kaanapali Beach right outside our hotel.

I have never seen clearer water than I did at Kaanapali Beach – and as a Floridian, that’s saying a lot! We lounged around on the shore and in the water for a while before switching hotels to the Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas.

We had to add an extra day to Maui to accommodate the luau, but we couldn’t extend our hotel stay. Luckily, we booked a hotel just up the road so we didn’t have to go far and were still right along the beautiful beach.

We checked out of our hotel and they did a really nice departure ceremony for all the guests leaving that day. We all got kukui nut leis and one of the staff members sang us a farewell song. The hospitality in Hawaii is truly unmatched!

We got to our next hotel before our room was ready so we spent time at the pool until we got that text that our room was ready for us.

While we didn’t have the incredible view of our last hotel room, this one was much more updated. However, when we walked in the room, we couldn’t find the bed!! There was a sitting area and a bathroom, but no other room. Then, we realized it was a murphy bed that came down from the wall. Luckily it was pretty comfy.

We ordered local pizza for dinner and it was terrible. We’re not having much luck with food this trip.

Tomorrow we have a full day of adventuring on the Road to Hana so we have to rest up tonight!
